Its mah birthday!
Not the birthday of DtD Software, but my birthday, me; DtD. (To tell the truth, I'm not entirely sure when DtD Software got started...)

Anyway, I was origonally planning to put some amusing things up here (like E-Cards) that people gave me, but I procrastinated on it, and now its late and I'm tired, so here is a little sneak at some art from the elusive DtD Tower Defense 2!
Mega Dekel 3D Model

That is Mega Dekel, our nice little lovable savage, he made me a cookie for my birthday, but due to his killer pre-historic instincts, he just ate it. Ah well, it's the thought that counts!

PS> Feel free to send happy birthdays in the contact page button above ;)

A distant view...
Well, after some complaints, I finally got around to a Windows Vista-compatible version of DtD Tower Defense 1. Hopefully this will clear up any problems Vista users had.

You can download the BETA Vista version here!

Please click the contact button above and let me know if it works correctly or not. Thank you very much!

In regard to abstract type class then as for the possibility without of being instantiate
Error 1 error C2259: 'ILinesSceneNode' : cannot instantiate abstract class t:\development2\main.cpp 105 DtDTowerDefense2
That has to be one of the most annoying errors that I have gotten when compiling a C++ program.

Woot, lines!
So yeah...
In DtDTD2 news, I decided to switch the engine over to C++ and Irrlicht. After floundering about using Xtreme3D and GML, I found that it just wasn't worth it. There weren't any good reasons I was using GML besides that I was more comfortable with it.

Anyway, Irrlicht is freaking amazing! I really like the way it works so far, it is simple, yet customizable at the same time. Right now I'm still getting the ropes, but that error up there (which was resolved after hours of work Angry ) was related to a custom scene node I was making for drawing 3D lines from a list of points, it works pretty good as you can see.

Well, that's all for now. Next time: I'll teach you guys how to send, receive, and reply to text messages through your email.

Special thanks to Yahoo! Babel Fish for the wacky post title.

WTF?! OMG!
Well, some people might have noticed the website was down today. Sorry about that! No idea what caused it.

Second day 1&1 this year was been down this year, maybe its because of all the server upgrades? Ah well, I'll give 'em the benefit of the doubt. They are still awesome.

In fact, we think they are so awesome, that you should click on the button on the left that says "Hosted by 1&1" and go buy something! A fraction of the profits 1&1 makes will go to DtD Software, and will help pay for our hosting, as well as other costs related to the stuff we do. If you buy a 1&1 Shared Business Server for just $4.99/mo, you will give us enough referral money for two months!

Sir, we have established contact with the Dekels!
...and they want to eat our cheese! OMG!

Hey! I finally got off my lazy you-know-who...err...what... Tard and made a contact page! And it took me about fifteen minutes! ( Glare Wow, he really is...)
And I make special emote! Literally! Tard
I felt that we needed a tard emote, so once I make the ability to make comments on my blog, make sure to use it allot! Big Smile!

Oh yeah, in other news:
DtD Tower Defense 2 is progressing along smoothly!
(What there's a DtDTD2?! OMG! )
Yup! There is one, I just haven't had a good chance to talk about it here, but I can tell you some details:
Yes, it will 3D (<< If ya didn't get the memo, this means better graphics as well)
Yes, it will have more tracks of music.
And if we (yes, WE! There are actually more than two team members!) ever get around to it (and we always do eventually) there will be a story! Which means it will have an ending!
It will also have levels (As opposed to DtDTD1, which had one single level)

Also, you know how allot of cool games have orchestrated music? Well, a good friend of mine who goes by Halfway23, is making some pretty awesome stuff. Of course, we aren't as spoiled as Aveyond with a small army of music players, but it is awesome. Maybe if enough of you contact me through the new contact page I'll try to convince him nobody will steal it if I put it up.

Anyway, DtDTD1 will be awesome, I guarantee that, but I don't wanna spoil too much here. (If you Google enough, you might find the secret stash of concept art we have on a very popular art website...)

Big Smile! Emoticons FTW!... Glare (kinda)
ZOMG!?!?!?!?! ZOMG! WE HAVES EMOTICONS!

DtD Lacus (the code behind this website) has (nicer**) emoticon support! Big Smile!

These emoticons were made by Deadman2 at deviantART, we of course got his permission to use them.

Coming soon will be a comments sysetm and a contact page.

~DtD Happy
*FTW == For The World! Obviously right now only I can use the emoticons :P

**The reason I say nicer support is because "NLS" Lacus, an older version of the system, had emoticon support but its code was very old.

Whoops, Sorry!
Omg, I am so sorry. It was brought to my attention that the link on the DtD Tower Defense 1 page was linking to an out of date version. In fact, it was linking to the absolute oldest public version of DtDTD1, I am so sorry for this, it was complete and total failure on my part. If I had a contact form, I could have been notified of this. I had only check to make sure that the link was downloadable, not if it was the right version or anything.

Anyway, I have fixed it now, so:
Any users who downloaded DtDTD1 after June 5, 2008 and before July 9, 2008 should redownload!
If you have the old version you are missing out on loads of features:
Planes
Tanks
Shooting Enemies
Music
Higher Difficulty Modes
Endurance Mode
Actual Difference in Sheilded Enemies
A help file/readme
automatic backup saves
And MANY bug fixes
as well as several other things.

Again, I am so so sorry, I will make sure that I make a contact page and upload it before Friday.

Also, special thanks to Brian H. for helping me find this!!

BTW> One more note: Your save files will be incompatible, very sorry! Also, people who downloaded from the Download.com mirror will not need to redownload.

Small Downtime
Heh, hi. Somebody may have noticed a small amount of downtime today, this was because I broke the website while upgrading. Also, there may be some minor issues with the site as I have not been keeping the fixes with the online website synced with my offline one.

All changes were internal, some of these are steps towards a user and comment system, so that is good ^_^
